Abstract

GSM Technology has been well developed and it has long been implemented around the world. It has the biggest amount of users compared to other mobile communication technologies. Issues on how the GSM architecture is implemented in Indonesia currently and how it accommodates the capacity and quality of services required by the users in the country will be discussed in this guest lecture. Besides, its seamless migration to the most updated mobile communication technology will also be discussed.

Who is the guest lecturer?

Soetikno Tendy’s current position is as the Customer Technology Director of PT. Ericsson Indonesia. He was graduated from Trisakti University, in Control and Telecommunication. In 1997 he joined Ericsson Indonesia and started to involve in GSM Radio Access Technologies. In 2001 he was promoted as the Account Technology Manager for PT Excelcom Tbk. In 2003 he was assigned as the GSM (2G) Solutions Manager and in 2005 he was appointed as the WCDMA (3G) Sr. Solutions Manager. In 2006 he was the Strategic Marketing Sr. Manager. From 2008 he was again promoted as the Customer Technology Director of PT Ericsson Indonesia.
